A young man has died after going swimming with a group of friends.
The 18-year-old went under in the Red River in an area known as Turtle Rock, at the Menifee/Powell County line.
Rescue crews say he complained of side pain before going under.
We're told his body was quickly found and pulled from the river, but it was too late to save him.
Rescue crews tell 27 NEWSFIRST that the victim was part of a group from out out state, working to clean up storm debris in the Daniel Boone National Forest.
No foul play is suspected.
