Two former Manchester officials will now have six more weeks before they go to trial on federal drug charges.
The Assistant U.S. Attorney asked for more time to prepare for trial after former Manchester Assistant Police Chief Todd Roberts and former 911 Director Vernon Hacker were indicted on new charges less than two weeks ago.
The attorneys for both men, jointly objected to delaying the date, mentioning their rights to a speedy trial.
The original date was set for next Tuesday, however, the new trial is set for December fifth at the federal courthouse in London.
