Police Investigate Jewelry Store Robbery

A crime alert in Lexington, after a man made off with an expensive piece of jewelry during a robbery Tuesday morning.

Police say the man asked to see a bracelet at the Fixed In A Flash store on Richmond Road at around 10:00 a.m.

Police say he grabbed the jewelry and ran out the door. One worker in a near-by business in the Idle Hour Shopping Center says she saw the commotion.

One witness says, "I just saw a white Impala back up there. I couldn't see the license tag or nothing. Next thing I saw, the man ran, jumped in the car and took off.

Police say the bracelet was worth $36,000. Lexington police describe the suspect as a black man, between 5'8 and 5'10, wearing a grey windbreaker.
