Lexington Police Investigate Homicide After Dead Body is Discovered 
Lexington police are investigating a homicide case, after a body is discovered.
Police say the dead body was found in a field near the Coolivan Apartments in Lexington, at 551 West 6th Street.
The Fayette County Coroner has called the death a homicide. Police say the victim is a white man in his early 20's.
The body was found around 7:30 a.m. Thursday morning. Police say reports were made of shots being fired in the area, at the time when the body was found. Yet neighbors say hearing gunshots in the area isn't very rare.
