Police Searching For School Robbery Suspects

Evarts High School, Cumberland High School, and Rosspoint Elementary have all been broken into so far this school year. This week for the second time, teachers and students at Rosspoint came to school only to find they had been hit again.

When Rosspoint Elementary's Assistant Principal Bryan Howard came to school Tuesday morning, he realized quickly it had happened again.

"They kicked the door in, broke into the desks hoping to find some money, pills, whatever they were looking for," Howard said.

Rosspoint was hit last month when someone broke in and jumped from classroom to classroom through the ceiling. This week, the perpetrators punched glass right out of the doors in the main office and stole a small amount of money.

"You're ready to teach and you've got glass all over the floor," Howard said.

Howard says the breakins are taking a toll on students.

"They've got that on their mind, ruins the day. It's hard to get everybody back on track," Howard said.

Howard thinks its former students who know their way around.

In Cumberland, police have arrested one Cumberland High student and looking for another they believe busted through doors there Wednesday morning.

While police search for the culprits at Rosspoint, the school is trying to put up more of a defense.
