He's a former lawman headed to prison for breaking the law after being convicted of assaulting his own infant daughter.
Former McCreary County Deputy Sheriff Steve Hensley was sentenced to three and a half years in prison.
A jury convicted Hensley of assault and criminal abuse charges.
Prosecutors say Hensley shook his newborn baby so hard that she will never recover from the injuries.
The prosecutor says while he respects the jury's decision, he doesn't think three and a half years is a harsh enough punishment.
