Woman Robbed at Gunpoint for Purse

A frightening morning for a Lexington woman after a man took her purse at gunpoint.

Lexington police say the woman was robbed just before 7:30 a.m. Tuesday on East 2nd Street.

Police say a man pointed a gun at the woman and demanded her purse. Police later caught up with a man who fit the gunman's description.

Police say they're now questioning that man.
