Two Fires Just Blocks Away, Investigators Suspect Arson

Two fires blocks away from each other ignited at the same time.

It happened around 6:30 a.m. Wednesday morning in downtown Middlesboro and that's why firefighters say they suspect arson.

Crews were battling a fully engulfed abandoned apartment building when they had to rush to a nearby furniture store also on fire.

People in several near-by apartments had to be evacuated and several streets in downtown Middlesboro were closed until the fires were put out.
