With winter drawing near, the Central Kentucky Blood Center is asking for donors to give blood before the winter months.
A spokesperson for the center says fewer people donate during the winter, so right now it's important to give blood regularly, not just during times of crisis.
"The people coming in here, this is the best hour they'll ever spend. Each one of them that gives blood saves three lives or three babies’ lives," said Foster Coleman with the Central Kentucky Blood Center.
Foster says you never know when it will be a family member of yours that is in need, so it's important to donate on a regular basis.
