Missing Brother, Sister From Mingo County Killed In Kentucky Wreck
PIKEVILLE, Ky. (AP) - The bodies of a missing brother and sister from Mingo County have been found in eastern Kentucky, where they died in an automobile crash.
Forty-six-year-old Donald Carey and 52-year-old Patricia Carey-Turner had both been listed as missing since October 17th. They were reported missing by their mother, who has said it was unusual for the two to go several days without contacting family members.
Investigators say the pickup truck the two were in ran off the roadway at McCarr, Kentucky, near the West Virginia line. It overturned several times, striking trees, before landing upside down in Tug Fork Creek.
The truck was discovered late last night.
The Careys, both from the North Matewan area, were pronounced dead at the scene.
The wreck is still under investigation by Kentucky State Police.
