Police now have a shooting suspect in custody.
Officers arrested 26-year old Desmond Tyreace Coates after a traffic stop on New Circle Road.
Police say Coates shot 26 -year old Jeremy Walters early this morning in front of a home on Raleigh Road. Walters was hit several times. He's still at the UK Hospital in critical condition.
Coates is charged with assault, tampering with physical evidence, and drug possession and trafficking.
