Lexington Neighborhood Fed Up

A Lexington neighborhood is taking action after a series of break-ins and crimes.

It's happening in the Forest Lake and Saron Drive area, which is near Veterans Park.

It involves homes and cars. Now, people who live there are doing what they can to stop the crooks.

They are forming a neighborhood watch program in accordance with the Lexington Police Department.

It will help better connect people should something happen in their neighborhood.

There have been several reported car and home break-ins recently in the area where this program
would include.

In response to neighbors concerns, police have added extra patrols in the neighborhood and are
asking people to report any suspicious activity.

lisa, bill probably is dumb regardless of pot, but pot should be legalized. there are way more pros than cons. people beat up their wives on booze all the time, potheads don't get hostile and beat people. drinking and driving kills tons of people, don't hear much about potheads getting behind wheel and killing people. but, ky will never wake up due to the uneducated, brainwashed, baptist people who will go ape *&^% over the idea of legalizing it.

Bill, I'm sorry but you are a prime example of not legalzing marijuana, did you even try to read anything you wrote. I made no sense out of any of it. Dude, lay off the pot before you post a comment.

more than likely a couple of your local boys are in this stealing mode for what eles drug money. 50 million americans use drugs not counting the illegals bringing it in. as a farmer x dope grower and a productive business owner i fight the drug use everyday from most of my 20 odd employees. did i mention the loss time from cell phones talking to drug dealers about when and where to get it. ok the girl friends and wives asking this "what you doing" from my point i say they are stealing from me and you as i pay most of them 20 bucks an hour to answer "working" the real answer should be dont call unless there is a real need. ok heres the answer to solving 30% of the nations money problems. decrimanlize pot, use cell phones on your time not company time. when an asks a doctor for pain meds give them all they can do. yes some will die, they are now any way, but it cost one us dollar per millogram, store cost 10 cents. most pill heads do 100 bucks a day so how can they buy us goods. god bless

i agree with the neighborhood watch. in my county, calling the sheriff's office at nite is a waste of time. nobody answers the phone. so we are having to rely on state police. before long, it'll get bad enough that us neighbors would have to respond to the crisis ourselves without the help from the county sheriff's department.
