Fatal Shooting Rocks South Louisville

LOUISVILLE, KY -- Louisville Metro Police are investigating the shooting death of a male in the 4100 block of Tuscarora Way in southern Louisville late last night, reports The Courier-Journal.

Lt. Barry Wilkerson said police were called to the scene, near Taylor Boulevard and Bluegrass Avenue, about 10 p.m. The victim was taken to University Hospital, where he was pronounced dead on arrival.

Wilkerson asked that anyone with information about the shooting call the department’s tip line 574-LMPD.

    Let em come try that in my neighborhood... The violence is local to parts of town where people have stopped caring about their community. In the highlands, old louisville, germantown, and other areas, you hardly ever hear of anything happening. It's always in portland, shively, places like that where you hear about drugs and violence. The reason I say try it in my neighborhood is that my part of town is populated by people who won't stand for it in their community, around their children and their neighbors.

    Not sure why its a shock, that area is heavy with drug activity. This city is becoming an epi center for violence. It's pretty depressing.
