New information in the case of a Lexington father who admitted he killed his son by leaving the infant in a hot S-U-V.

A judge sentenced Leon Jewell to probation. 27 NEWSFIRST has learned prosecutors now want to throw him back in jail.
Details are sketchy, but we know Leon Jewell will be back in court later this month because he violated his probation.

In August 2005, Jewell's 9 month-old son died after the father left the boy, in the heat, inside the family's SUV.
Jewell pleaded guilty to manslaughter the day his trial was to start.
During his sentencing his probation officer wanted the father to serve time in jail, but his wife pleaded for leniency.

The judge placed him on 5 years probation.
Jewell was ordered to go to rehab and avoid any alcohol during the time, but 27 NEWSFIRST has learned Jewell violated the grounds of the probation. Now the father could spend time in jail.

Jewell's probation hearing is scheduled for November 16th.
