A Pulaski County man is behind bars after police say he attempted to disarm an officer after driving under the influence.
Police say and officer tried to pull William Carrender over after he failed to stop at a stop sign. Carrender drove through a neighborhood, then through a field, and later attempted to take a weapon from the officer's holster.
Carrender charges include disregarding a stop sign, DUI, and resisting arrest.
