27 NEWSFIRST has learned about dozens of reported sick cases involving a household product. A product that's normally kept under the sink has often been mistaken for a drink.
It's called Fabuloso. When it's packed in a grocery bag, it blends in. The color matches some popular flavors of sports drinks, but the purple liquid is actually a cleaning solution.
Fabuloso marks clearly on the bottle not to drink it.
The Kentucky Regional Poison Center reported 40 cases in the state in the last year where people drankFabuloso. Six cases involved adults unintentionally drinking the solution in their homes.
The last case of someone drinking this happened in July.
Since then the company, owned by Colgate, has changed some labels by indicating that it's a cleaning solution in both english and spanish.
