The trial against a father charged with complicity to murder, in the death of one of his infant triplets, began Monday in Letcher County.
Edward Morton is also facing complicity to assault charges after his daughter was found dead, and another son beaten, in 2004.
Both allegedly suffered skull fractures.
Monday, a jury was seated, both sides presented opening arguments, and several witnesses from the medical field testified.
The children's mother accepted a plea agreement in July.
