Cruiser rammed in police chase

Danville police pulled over Jason Hipps, 27, for speeding on Gose Pike Sunday night.

When a second officer pulled up to the stop, police say Hipps took off leading police though a busy neighborhood.

Police say Hipps drove into yards and even around one home. When he got back on the road, he allegedly rammed one of the police cruisers.

The chase ended when Hipps ended up in a ditch at the intersection of Brook and Cheryl lanes.

Hipps faces numerous charges including speeding and reckless driving.

How do you know he is a criminal? Sometimes the police harass a person so much that they do stupid things.

Hey Will, It probably does cost money to keep a person in jail, but it's probably less expensive than a woman having a kid every couple of years to stay on food stamps and government money. A working person pays for that also!! Wonder if anyone called you a worthless thug? Maybe you should not cast stones, you may have some closet secrets also!

Any criminal that runs should get 5 years automatically, no questions asked. What an idiot. Good job Danville PD.

Hey Danville PD. Thank you for getting this worthless thug before he could hurt any friends or loved ones. These idiots that run from the police put all of the public at risk. I hope but doubt this guy will get a long jail term, I'm sure our local goverment will feel it cost to much to keep him in jail.

We're lucky the police didn't hurt anyone in this high speed chase of a criminal who they could've picked up at home a few minutes later.
