Following Death Of Inmate, Jail Facing Lawsuit

Pike County Jailer Rodney Scott and other jail employees are facing a lawsuit.

Federal court documents show Wendell Smith filed the lawsuit on behalf of his daughter, Rachel Roberts, alleging wrongful death and negligence.

Police say Roberts was found dead earlier this year in the Pike County Detention Center after being arrested for public intoxication.

Firefighters battle another suspicious fire in Martin Co.
