Nearly three months after that deadly plane crash at Lexington's Blue Grass Airport, the FAA says there's been a close call.

The FAA now confirms a private single engine plane almost took off from runway 26. That's the same runway Comair Flight 5191 took off from when it crashed back in August. 49 people died.

The Airport placed large barriers on the the short runway soon after the crash. This month, the short runway re-opened for day time use only.

A week after re-opening, the FAA says a plane turned down the 35-hundred foot runway at midnight. One of two air traffic controllers working, spotted the mistake, and stopped the plane from taking off.
