Police Search For Convicted Sex Offender Wanted in Two Robberies

Lexington and Georgetown Police are looking into two Friday morning robberies.

One robbery happened at the Marathon station at Paris Pike and I-75.

Lexington police describe it as a "snatch 'n grab," where the suspect took cash from the register.

Another robbery happened at the Long John Silver's restaurant on Edwards Avenue in Georgetown, which is not far from I-75.

Lexington police say it was robbed in a style similar to a "snatch 'n grab."

Police have identified the suspect as 36 year old Robert Fields.

Police found the van they think Fields used in the robberies.

Fields is a registered sex offender and his last address was in Cynthiana.
