UK Student Injured In Early Morning Shooting

Lexington Police say a UK student was shot in a Lexington neighborhood early Monday morning.

Police responded to a home on University Avenue, near the University of Kentucky campus, at around 3:00 a.m.

Police say the man was shot at one house and ran to a house next door to get help.

The victim was taken to U.K. Hospital and has been through surgery.

His friend told us that doctor's expect him to make a full recovery.

Police are still looking for a suspect. No more information is available.
