Snowfall Across Kentucky Causes Some Accidents

The snow came in rather quickly Thursday morning, making much of the Bluegrass look like a winter wonderland.

Snow depths ranged from a dusting to a half an inch in some areas.

Lexington and Louisville both registered 0.3 inches of snow. Campbellsville reported .2 inches. Other locations in southeastern Kentucky like Beatyville, West Liberty, and London all registered 1/4 to 1/2 inch, mostly on grassy surfaces, but then quickly melted.

It doesn't sound like much, but it was enough snow to create an issue for the morning commute. In fact, two separate accidents between Georgetown and Leestown Road on New Circle Road are blamed for the slick roadways. No one was injured, but one car was totaled.
