A former chair of the Republican National Committee and Inez native says Kentucky should find other ways to generate revenue than slot machines at horse tracks.
Mike Duncan says there is one way he thinks the commonwealth could save money.
“One thing that I have seen proposed recently is on prevailing wage for school facilities. If we weren't paying a prevailing wage on local courthouses and school facilities, it would save hundreds of millions of dollars for the citizens of Kentucky,” Duncan said.
Duncan served as chair of the republican national committee during a portion of the George W. Bush presidency.
He's now chairman of the Tennessee Valley Authority.
