Car Accident Leaves One Dead & Several Injured

An accident in Lee County leaves one person dead and several others injured.

It happened Sunday morning on Highway 498, not far from Beattyville.

Police say a car driven by 26 year old Rebecca Hogan crossed the center line and hit another car head on.

Police say Hogan was pronounced dead at the scene and three children in the car were injured.

Police say no in that car was wearing a seat belt.

Police say the driver of the second car was not hurt, but a pregnant passenger was air lifted to the UK Medical Center with internal injuries.
