Lexington Leaders Approve All Alcohol Sales for New Year's Eve
The Lexington Fayette Urban County Council met Monday to once again discuss liquor sales on New Year's Eve.
The holiday falls on a Sunday this year, causing several restrictions for bar owners.
Today, the council voted on whether all types of liquor should be allowed for sale at bars and restaurants in Lexington.
They unanimously approved the ordinance, allowing bars and restaurants to serve liquor of all kinds on New Year's Eve.
Those places are also allowed to stay open until 2 A.M. on New Year's Day.
