Marijuana Becomes Most Valuable Cash Crop In The U.S.

Marijuana is now the most valuable cash crop in the United States. Here in Kentucky, marijuana sales totaled more than four-billion-dollars this year, that's ten times the value of both hay and tobacco in the the state.

State police say they destroyed more marijuana plants in 2006 than they have in more than a decade.

Nearly six-hundred-thousand plants were burned this year, but officials say that's just half of the plants out there.

California leads the country with the most marijuana plants eradicated this year, Kentucky is second.
