Community members honor fallen soldier

Community members honor fallen soldier - Dara Rees Reports

Fallen soldier is remembered

A Kentucky community honors a native who died in Afghanistan.

38-year old Sergeant John Blair, who grew up in Harlan County, died after a rocket-propelled grenade hit his vehicle. He was killed in action in Afghanistan on June 20th.

Blair was buried in Georgia earlier this week.

A candlelight memorial service was held at Cumberland Elementary School in Harlan County.

Friends of Sergeant John Blair remember the time he spent on the football field in Cumberland.

He was football star for years but now he'll be known best for serving 20 years in the military.
