A 15-year-old Laurel county teen is dead after a horse riding accident.
Donovan Bowling of London was riding a colt on Monday when the horse threw him off, causing the teenager to hit his head.
Bowling held on four days, but died late Friday afternoon at the University of Kentucky Medical Center.
A fund has been set up in his name to help with funeral expenses at First National Bank and Forcht Bank in London.

This is his cousin, and Shakey we miss you dearly. I also feeel bad because the last time I seen him he was mad at me and his sister for taking his shirt and "decorating" it. So, it hit me hard when my father called me and said he passed away. -- <3 you alway's, your cousin Brittany

HELLO ALL IM DONOVANS MOM I JUST WANT TO THANK ALL FOR YOUR PRAYERS YOU ARE ALL SPECIAL TO ME AND HIS FAMILY AND WE ARE SO AMAZED AT ALL THE PEOPLE WHO KNEW AND LOVED HIM HE WAS OUR HERO TOO. HE WAS ONE OF A KIND ANY PARENT COULD BE PROUD OF.THE DAYS ARE HARD THE EVENINGS ARE EVEN HARDER THAT WAS WHEN HE CAME IN WITH HIS FRIENDS READY TO EAT AND HANG OUT.. WE LOVE ALL OF YOU WHO HAVE PRAYED OR BEEN INVOLVED IN SHAKEYS LIFE AND THIS TAGEDY AND WE THANK YOU ALL.
