Updated: Sat 3:56 PM, Dec 23, 2006

Lexington police tell 27 NEWSFIRST a man walked into the Republic Bank off Euclid Avenue about 9:30 Saturday morning and demanded money.

Lexington police say the suspect was carrying a brown paper bag and demanded money from the bank teller.

We're told the suspect was seen wearing a dark hooded sweat shirt and sunglasses. Police say witnesses saw the man flee from the bank in a maroon Jeep Cherokee and headed towards Main Street.

The man hunt for the suspect continues, but police believe the bank's surveillance video will aid them in identifying the suspect.
