Authorities say the Pike County couple involved in a police shooting Thursday night are responsible for several robberies.
One suspect died after he was shot by police, the other suspect, 32 year old Misty Damron, was in court Tuesday.
Records show 32 year old Misty Damron had never been arrested before, but now her clean record is tarnished.
"Started when an armed robbery occurred at the Smoke Shack here in town," KSP Detective Phillip Reed said.
Damron is accused of a crime spree with 26 year old John Michael Keen, a man opposite of her with an extensive criminal history.
"He's been in here several times for different things," Pike County Jailer Rodney Scott said.
Records show Keen was jailed and charged with robbery in October, but he got out of jail on Christmas Eve while he was awaiting trial.
Police say he went back to his old ways just two days later.
Surveillance video shows the robbery at the Smoke Shack on December 26th. Investigators say it's Keen.
"He demanded money, took the entire cash register and left the residence and scene in the vehicle," Detective Reed said.
Witnesses say Damron was the getaway driver.
Officers say the same robbery scene played out over the next few days at convenience stores and Wal-Mart.
"We received the same description, the male-female, the red car," Detective Reed said.
The crime spree ended Thursday night. Economy Drug Employees say Keen ran in with a gun and a so-called shopping list of drugs.
Later, after a police chase, officers say they shot and killed Keen, but Damron surrendered.
Now she is left to face the first charges of her life facilitating robbery, fleeing and evading police, and DUI.
An autopsy on Keen is expected to show if he had any drugs in his system during the alleged crime spree.
Damron will be back in court next week.
