Pharmacy Robbery Caught On Tape

Video will be available shortly

It's a crime police in Whitley County say they’re not used to working.

“To my knowledge, this is the first armed robbery of a pharmacy,” says Whitley County Det. Chuck Davis.

Police say a man wearing a coat with his face covered walked into the Falls Road Pharmacy. Armed with a gun and holding a bag, he demanded drugs.

“He gives it (the bag) to her, she's not reacting fast enough,” says Davis.

The man fires his gun towards the floor.

“I don’t know if he was agitated. I don't know if he was scared,” says Davis.

No one was hurt, but police say the bullet hit the ground and then bounced into a pill bottle.

Police say the suspect was after Percocet, a painkiller similar to Oxycontin.

After the robbery, the man was seen getting into a gray Jeep Cherokee with a Kentucky plate with the numbers”650.”

The pharmacist then closed the store.
