Right To Life Rally Comes To Capital Rotunda

Posted: Tue 11:52 PM, Feb 20, 2007

Hundreds of people packed the capital rotunda in Frankfort for the annual right to life rally.

Many people said they want others to know the devastating effects of abortion.

Some women who attended said they had an abortion once and now they regret that decision.

“Something I was never able to forget. I did spend many many years trying to get over it. After 28 years I was finally able to come to terms with it. Get some healing from it. Now I want to help others,” Kathy Rutledge said.

Right to life is pushing legislation that would require face to face communication 24 hours before the abortion between a doctor and a woman wanting the procedure.

Right now that communication can take place over the telephone.
