Engineers Give Students A Look Into The Future

Some students in Pulaski County are getting a taste of the future from engineers all over the country.

It looks a little out of this world, but these kids are looking at 3-D computer images from a graphic design program. The younger kids enjoyed learning how their video games are made and talked to engineers from Microsoft who made those games. Older students say they learned that engineering is about more than computer codes.

"A new broader horizon about what is out there for me to do and the possibilities for the future," said Anthony Pence.

"From global warming to world hunger to the need for alternative fuel sources and we know these are problems that can be solved and engineering can do that," said Mike Crowhurst.

"I was really amazed because I didn't know people could do stuff like that," said Tyler Blair.

The program is part of a new push to get more students interested in math and science, particularly engineering.
