Democrats Bruce Lunsford and Greg Stumbo officially kicked off their campaign for the state's top jobs in Stumbo's hometown of Prestonsburg.
“Campaign For A Change” that's the Lunsford - Stumbo motto as the two hope to become the next governor and lieutenant governor.
They showed up to a packed house at the Jenny Wiley State Park Conference Center.
Lunsford is a Louisville entrepreneur, who says the campaign will focus on universal health care, a greater access to education, and a real economic development plan to create good-paying jobs.
The two say they bring a mix of successful business experience and exceptional public service which make them uniquely qualified to provide leadership for the state of Kentucky.
Stumbo also talked to WYMT about the fact that he's challenging the executive branch ethics commission on their ruling that running for lieutenant governor is a conflict of interest
He says it's illegal and unconstitutional and he's confident their ruling will be overturned.
