Two federal inmates at the Big Sandy Prison in Martin County were in court Thursday.
23-year old Harry Wheeler was sentenced to 44 months in federal prison for assaulting a correctional officer after a search of his cell turned up a ten and a half inch shank.
Meanwhile, 25-year old Muhammad Abdul Rahman pleaded guilty to assault with a dangerous weapon.
Rahman was indicted last year on charges that he stabbed another inmate.
He faces ten years in prison and will be sentenced in June.
