A close call Friday for a Pulaski County Sheriff's Deputy.
Authorities say Deputy Bart Watkins was responding to a call on northbound U.S. 27 when he was hit by a pickup truck at the intersection of highway 635.
The impact forced the cruiser off the road and into a tree.
Neither Deputy Watkins or the truck driver were injured.
