Factory Fire Sends Workers To The Hospital

Corbin firefighters responded to a fire at the CTA Acoustics Plant in Corbin early this morning.

The flames broke out at the new plant on the Highway 3041 Bypass.

Firefighters tell us four people were transported to the hospitals for injuries, but all four were treated and released.

Firefighters say the fire broke out on the assembly line, but they had the situation under control in less than an hour.

There's still no word about what caused the fire, but the state fire marshal's office will investigate.

The plant also caught fire back in February of 2003 and seven people died as a result of that fire.

We'll have the latest on this morning's blaze coming up on 27 NEWSFIRST at 5:30.
