A Virginia man is dead and another woman injured in Lawrence County after an accident involving a coal truck.
Police say 34 year old Ronald Haney was driving on U.S. 23 when he lost control of his car and went into the other lane.
Investigators say the car went under a coal truck, tipping it over.
Haney was pronounced dead at the scene.
A passenger, 39 year old Winifred Haney, was airlifted to a West Virginia hospital.
The coal truck driver, 52 year old Ray Davis was treated and released.
The accident shut down U.S. 23 but it re-opened Wednesday afternoon.
