A Lexington father, charged with killing his infant child, stood before a judge in his preliminary hearing Monday morning.
It's been a week since emergency crews were called to Michael Reed's apartment on Winnie Street. Police say they found the man's baby unresponsive. She later died.
Charged with murder, Reed has already pleaded not guilty. In Monday's preliminary hearing, Michael Reed waived his case to the grand jury.
Police say they found two-month-old Brianna Brown unresponsive in his apartment. According to investigators, Michael Reed admitted he hit his newborn causing head injuries.
The coroner says those injuries led to her death.
Reed's lawyer did ask for a bond reduction, but that request was denied.
