If you're a customer of East Kentucky Power, your bill is about to go up.
The Kentucky Public Service Commission approved a temporary rate hike Monday.
East Kentucky Power says they need the increase to maintain operation.
The hike will mean a nearly 19 million dollar increase in revenue for East Kentucky Power.
The new rate is now in effect.
East Kentucky Power has $500,000 customers in 89 Kentucky counties.
