The state gets a report card grading the success of Kentucky high school graduates.

The report, released Monday, focuses on the class of 2004.

Numbers show 81 percent of students in that class graduated from high school and half enrolled in a Kentucky college or university.

Of those who went to college, 79 percent returned for their second year and earned an average GPA of 2.3.

Officials say the data helps them better understand how students are making the transition from high school to college.
