Man Chases Drunk Driver Through Two Counties

A man is behind bars this morning, charged with driving drunk from one county to another.

Police say he caused two accidents in the process.

Jeff Bennett tells 27 NEWSFIRST that a drunk driver hit his car in Scott County, and took off.

Bennett called police and followed that driver to Lexington.

It all ended when the suspected drunk driver crashed into another car on Georgetown Road.

No one was injured.

Police have not released the suspect's name.

If he is convicted, he should serve 5 years for driving drunk and 10 years for eluding arrrest and suspend his driving privileges for life. Driving is a privilege, not a right.
