Man Is Charged With Murder After Wreck

An eastern Kentucky man is now charged with murder after a man died Wednesday following a traffic accident.

The wreck happened last week on Kentucky 194 at Freeburn in Pike County.

State police say Ernest Mounts was driving east when he left the road and hit a cliff.

Police say Mounts left the scene and was later arrested near the Kentucky-Virginia border.

A passenger in Mount's vehicle, 48-year old Jack Robinette of McVeigh, died Wednesday at a West Virginia hospital.

Mounts was originally charged with assault, but he now faces several charges including murder.
