FRANKFORT, Ky. (AP) - Get ready for the barrage of political ads, mass mailers, even phone calls.

Gubernatorial candidates are about to start harping on what they'll do to create jobs, improve schools and provide medical care to the uninsured.

Former Lieutenant Governor Steve Beshear has said from the kickoff of his campaign he would be an outspoken advocate for casino gambling.

Incumbent Governor Fletcher says some of his priorities will be making health care more affordable, raising test scores in math and science, and continuing job growth.

Ten candidates, three Republicans and seven Democrats, are seeking their parties' nomination.
