PRESTONSBURG – One of Operation UNITE’s “Top 10” most wanted fugitives has been located thanks to the Floyd County Sheriff’s Office.
Sherman Ray Poston, 48, of McDowell, was arrested on Wednesday, April 4, by sheriff’s deputies on outstanding bench warrants and lodged in the Floyd County Detention Center.
UNITE detectives had been searching for Poston since December 2005 and was placed on the most wanted list this past fall.
On Thursday, April 5, Poston was served with an indictment warrant for one count of cultivating marijuana more than five plants, a Class D felony.
