Officials say fixing a Kentucky steamboat, damaged in an accident will cost thousands more than originally thought.

The Courier-Journal reports repairs on the 'Belle of Louisville' will cost $40,000, about 30 thousand more than originally estimated.

The steamboat was full of passengers when it crashed into a parked barge last month, on the Ohio River.

Insurance will cover the cost of repairs.
