Teenagers Plead Guilty To Beating Elderly Man

A hearing was held Friday for three teenagers accused of attacking an elderly man in Lexington.

James Reynolds, Johnny Georgetown and Ronnell Suter plead guilty to beating an elderly hotel worker. Police say the three teenagers attacked 77-year old Junior Barnes in December of 2005.

Police say the elderly man told the teenagers to stop tearing down Christmas decorations at the Holiday Inn on Newtown Pike, that's when they attacked him.

All three boys plead guilty to beating the man, who was a janitor at the Holiday Inn. Today, all three teenagers were expected to be sentenced for assault, but they were not.

JR is a close, dear family friend and today (4-27-07) the teens are to be sentenced. Even today he is in bad shape, and has since lost his wife. His faith in God and family has kept him strong. Keep your prayers with him please.

Criminals are criminals and should be treated as criminals. You could put wings on a pig, but you would still only have a pig with wings. This should be a felony, because of the victims age if nothing else.

We have been watching this story and we plan to review every aspect. Justice MUST be served on these three criminals for such grave conduct.

These three teenagers are old enough to know better, and should be treated as adults. They should have been prosecuted to the max, and stay in jail for at least ten years!!

Today, all three teenagers were expected to be sentenced for assault, but they were not. Why? The crime was almost 16 months ago. They said they are guilty. Why not send 'em to jail?
