An appeal has been filed in the case of a West Virginia Attorney convicted of manslaughter and sentenced to ten years in prison.
Lafe Ward was accused of causing a car accident last year that killed Benita Dixon.
Police say Ward was driving drunk, when he ran a red light and hit Dixon's car last year.
The jury convicted ward of manslaughter instead of murder.
