Virginia Tech Shooting: Killer Speaks

More Video...

NEW: Virginia Tech gunman rants on video sent to N-B-C. NEW YORK (AP) - Authorities are going over the snarling, profanity-laced tirade left behind by the Virginia Tech gunman.

On a video Cho Seung-Hui (joh sung-wee) rants about rich "brats" and their "hedonistic needs."

He says, "Your Mercedes wasn't enough, you brats. Your golden necklaces weren't enough, you snobs. Your trust funds wasn't enough. Your vodka and cognac wasn't enough. All your debaucheries weren't enough. Those weren't enough to fulfill your hedonistic needs. You had everything."

Cho also says, "You had a hundred (b) billion chances and ways to have avoided today. But you decided to spill my blood. You forced me into a corner and gave me only one option. The decision was yours. Now you have blood on your hands that will never wash off."

N-B-C says the video was in a package the gunman apparently mailed to the network between his deadly shootings. The network says the package contained a rambling and often incoherent 23-page written statement, 28 video clips and 43 photos. Several of the photos showed him aiming handguns at the camera.

This was one of the saddest days in school i have ever had in along time. When my teacher showed us the news it just shocked me and i felt a deep saddness about what had happened to these poor kids. And after me and my friends talked about it we thought that it resembled the video game Halo. Anyway i feel sorry for the families of the victims.

The media responds to the public: if all the morbidly curious didn't demand it, they wouldn't air it. They are simply doing the job that we insist they do by being sickly obsessed with other peoples' tragedies. Did you watch it? There ya go.

although we need stricker gun laws, how are we supposed to defend ourselves from anyone commiting a crime? Police are not always fast enough to get to a crime scene. Also, in the wake of the Virginia tech students massacres, shame on NBC for airing the video tape and rambling manifesto that Cho wrote. The families need a time for grieving. I do respect the news for keeping up with the latest news, but repeatedly airing the same thing for days is wrong and disrespectful to the families and friends of the wounded and dead.

I pray for the parents of the students at Virginia Tech. It was an awful tragedy. For this to have happen in our country, I'm very ashamed.
